Impact of activation energy and MHD on Williamson fluid flow in the presence of bioconvection

Muhammad Imran Asjad et al.

Summary: The main purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of Brownian motion and thermophoresis diffusion in non-Newtonian Williamson fluid flow through an exponentially stretching sheet, considering the effects of thermal radiation and the bioconvection of microorganisms. Similarity functions are used to transform the partial differential equations into corresponding ordinary differential equations, and the desired findings are evaluated using the Runge-Kutta method with shooting technique and MATLAB script. The results show that the fluid velocity decreases with the strength of the magnetic parameter and increases with mixed convection. The temperature increases with the parameters of Brownian motion and thermophoresis. The bioconvection Lewis number decreases the velocity field, and the results are in good agreement with existing literature.

The parametric computation of nonlinear convection magnetohydrodynamic nanofluid flow with internal heating across a fixed and spinning disk

Muhammad Bilal et al.

Summary: The study evaluates the heat and mass transition characteristics through impermeable stationary and porous spinning disks with nonlinear convection flow, using gyrotactic microorganisms and magnetic nanoparticles to synthesize nanofluids in carrier fluids such as ethylene glycol and water. The analysis shows that in nonlinear convection flow, increased heat generation and temperature coefficient can elevate wall friction, while the mass transition rate is reduced with an increase in Schmidt number.

Numerical simulation of Marangoni Maxwell nanofluid flow with Arrhenius activation energy and entropy anatomization over a rotating disk

Shami A. M. Alsallami et al.

Summary: This study numerically investigates the flow of nanofluid over a heated rotating disc, considering the effects of Brownian motion, thermophoresis, and nonlinear radiation. The problem is modeled using a system of partial differential equations consisting of the Maxwell and Navier Stokes equations. Through a similarity framework, the modeled equations are reduced to a system of dimensionless differential equations. Numerical techniques are used to obtain quantitative approximations, and the resulting physical quantities are analyzed. The study finds that the Prandtl number and radiation effect enhance heat transmission rate, while improving the magnetic parameter reduces the velocity field. Furthermore, the entropy rate and Bejan number increase with the rising effect of chemical reaction, temperature differential variable, concentration ratio variable, and Schmidt number.

Simultaneous results for unsteady flow of MHD hybrid nanoliquid above a flat/slendering surface

Fazle Mabood et al.

Summary: This research focuses on the boundary layer analysis of two-dimensional unsteady hybrid nanofluid flow over a flat/slendering stretching surface incorporating thermal radiation and magnetohydrodynamic analysis. The study resolves the transformed nonlinear ordinary differential equations using the Runge-Kutta-Fehlberg technique, and discusses the influences of the flow regime on several thermofluidic parameters. The main finding is that increasing the magnetic field and nanoparticle volume fraction parameters decreases skin friction, while improvements in radiation and nanoparticle volume fraction lead to a significant increase in heat transfer rate.
