Appropriate spatiotemporal regulation of immune gene expression is crucial for defending against pathogens. Recent research has discovered that pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) can induce widespread transcription initiation changes and an immediate wave of transcription factors, which are elements of immune gene reprogramming.
Appropriate spatiotemporal regu-lation of immune gene expression triggered by pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) is crit-ical for defense against pathogens. Thieffry et al. recently found that PAMP-triggered widespread alter-native transcription initiation and an immediate transcription factor wave are elements of immune gene reprogramming.
