Study of thermal properties and microstructure of the Ag-Ge alloys

Dragan Manasijevic et al.

Summary: This study experimentally investigated the microstructure, phase transitions, thermal diffusivity, and thermal conductivity of four Ag-Ge alloys with different Ge compositions. The results showed that both thermal diffusivity and thermal conductivity reached a minimum at 20% Ge, close to the eutectic composition. The experimental results were in close agreement with thermodynamic calculations and literature data.

Microstructure and thermal properties of the Bi-Ag alloys

Dragan Manasijevic et al.

Summary: This study experimentally investigated the microstructure, melting behavior, and thermal conductivities of three Bi-Ag alloys with different silver content. Various experimental methods were used for analysis and testing, showing that an increase in silver content led to a modest increase in thermal conductivity, while thermal conductivities of all three eutectic alloys slightly decreased with increasing temperature.

Specific heat, thermal diffusivity, and thermal conductivity of Ag-Si alloys within a wide temperature range of 293-823 K

H. M. Chen et al.

Summary: The heat transfer behaviors of Ag-Si alloys over a wide temperature range were investigated using the laser flash method, revealing a decrease in thermal conductivity with increasing Si content. The abnormal thermal conductivity at eutectic composition may be attributed to the large amount of phase boundaries in the microstructures of Ag-Si alloys.

Structural and thermal properties of Sn-Ag alloys

Dragan Manasijevic et al.

Summary: The microstructure and thermal properties of slowly cooled Sn-10% Ag and Sn-20% Ag alloys were experimentally investigated, revealing a specific microstructure and a gradual decrease in thermal conductivity with increasing temperature. The contributions of phonons to the thermal conductivity were found to be significant in the studied alloys.

Microstructure, melting behavior and thermal conductivity of the Sn-Zn alloys

Dragan Manasijevic et al.

Summary: Four hypereutectic Sn-Zn alloys with different zinc content were produced and their microstructure, chemical compositions, and melting behavior were studied. It was found that the morphology of the primary phase changed with decreasing zinc content, and the thermal conductivity of the alloys decreased monotonously with increasing temperature and tin content. The results were compared with literature data and Wiedemann-Franz law.

Ispitivanje mikrostrukture, tvrdoce i termijskih karakteristika legura u sistemu Sn-Bi

Kristina N. Bozinovic et al.

Summary: Lead-free solders have gained attention in the electronic industry due to the high toxicity of lead, with Sn-Bi alloys being considered potential replacements for Sn-Pb alloys. These alloys offer advantages such as low cost, low melting temperatures, and good compatibility. This study focuses on the microstructural, thermal properties, and hardness of different compositions of Sn-Bi alloys.
