Effects of Two Nearest V Substitution Doping on Magnetism of Monolayer CrSi2via First-Principles Investigations

Shaobo Chen et al.

Summary: First-principles spin-polarized density functional theory (DFT) was used to study the effect of two nearest V substitution doping on the magnetism of 2D monolayer CrSi2. The calculations confirmed the thermodynamic stability of all V-doped monolayer CrSi(2), with the total density of states near the Fermi level primarily deriving from the 3d states of the V atom. The system's total magnetic moment decreases with decreasing V-V distances, suggesting that nearest-neighbor V atoms substitutions may be a promising candidate for future applications in spintronics.

Electrical investigation of sprayed In2S3 film

Y. Bchiri et al.

Summary: In2S3 thin film was successfully deposited by spray pyrolysis at 340 degrees C, showing polycrystalline structure with grains of different sizes on a continuous surface. Electrical properties of the film indicate increasing conductance with temperature, with conduction mechanism explained by correlated barrier hopping model. The equivalent circuit for In2S3 film includes R and CPE connected in parallel.

Tuning Electronic Structure of 2D In2S3 via P Doping and Size Controlling Toward Efficient Photoelectrochemical Water Oxidation

Yuli Xiong et al.

Summary: Controlled fabrication of P doped 2D In2S3 arrays via preseeding method enables regulation of bandgap, increase in active sites, and enhancement of surface reaction kinetics. The integration of P 3s, P 3p, and S 3p orbitals through substitutional doping introduces a hybridized state near the valence band of In2S3, leading to tuning of electronic structure, suppression of charge recombination, and improvement of oxidation kinetics efficiency. The synergistic effect of size control synthesis and doping strategies results in more than fivefold enhancement in photocurrent and high efficiency in water oxidation.

Effect of heat treatment in sulfur on structural, optical and electrical properties of thermally evaporated In2S3 thin films

M. S. Tivanov et al.

Summary: The study investigates the crystallinity, optical properties, electrical conductivity, and photoresponse of thermally evaporated In2S3 thin films. It is found that annealing the films in sulfur vapor at different temperatures results in changes in the optical band gap and conductivity. Sulfur annealing at temperatures of 250-300 degrees C leads to an increase in conductivity and photosensitivity, making the films suitable for photovoltaic applications.
