Gum Acacia Modified Ni Doped CuO Nanoparticles: An Excellent Antibacterial Material

Lalit Mohan Dwivedi et al.

Summary: Ni-doped CuO Nps grown in gum acacia medium exhibit excellent antibacterial behavior, with samples synthesized using 1.5% GA showing optimal antibacterial activity. The advantage of Ni doping combined with the usage of GA as a growth medium is evident through the significantly improved antibacterial properties of the synthesized Ni0.1CuO-GA samples.

Facile synthesis of zinc oxide nanoparticles loaded activated carbon as an eco-friendly adsorbent for ultra-removal of malachite green from water

Esra Altintig et al.

Summary: Green synthesis ultrasonic method is used to prepare zinc oxide nanoparticles loaded on activated carbon derived from coffee waste for the effective elimination of malachite green from wastewater. The adsorption capacity of the developed Zn(OH)(2)-AC composite increases with initial dye concentration, pH, and temperature, while it decreases with higher composite dose. The Langmuir isotherm model shows better fitting than the Freundlich model, with maximum removal capacity achieved at 318 K and pH 7.0.
