Summary: By using a triple of simple numerical summaries, this study reconstructs other popular metrics of bibliometric impact with a sufficient degree of precision. The study utilizes an agent-based model to investigate bibliometric data and identifies indices with good discriminative power, as well as implications for research evaluation practices.
