A rapid-onset diffusion functional MRI signal reflects neuromorphological

Daniel Nunes et al.

Summary: A study has found a direct link between the rapid onset dfMRI signal and IOSs, demonstrating a punctate quantitative correspondence between the two; this signal component is rather insensitive to a vascular challenge. This suggests that neuromorphological coupling can be detected via dfMRI signals.

A line through the brain: implementation of human line-scanning at 7T for ultra-high spatiotemporal resolution fMRI

Luisa Raimondo et al.

Summary: Functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) is a widely used tool in neuroscience for detecting neurally evoked responses, such as the blood oxygenation level-dependent (BOLD) signal. Line-scanning fMRI achieves very high spatial resolution and sampling rate, but sacrifices volume coverage. Researchers have successfully implemented line-scanning fMRI in humans, demonstrating potential applications in cognitive and clinical neuroscience.

Characterization of brain-wide somatosensory BOLD fMRI in mice under dexmedetomidine/isoflurane and ketamine/xylazine

Taeyi You et al.

Summary: Both Dexmedetomidine/isoflurane and Ketamine/xylazine are applicable for evoked mouse fMRI studies, with Dexmedetomidine/isoflurane resulting in fast, boxcar-like BOLD response and consistent hemodynamic shapes, while Ketamine/xylazine showing higher sensitivity, prolonged BOLD response, and evidence for cortical disinhibition. Different hemodynamic shapes were also observed between cortical and subcortical areas under the two anesthesia methods.
