MRI-Guided Focused Ultrasound of Osseous Metastases Treatment Parameters Associated With Successful Pain Reduction

Rachel R. Bitton et al.

Summary: This study identified that high energy density during treatment, postprocedural periosteal devascularization around the tumor site, and female sex increase the likelihood of pain relief after MRI-guided focused ultrasound treatment of osseous metastasis.

MRI-guided Focused Ultrasound Ablation for Localized Intermediate-Risk Prostate Cancer: Early Results of a Phase II Trial

Sangeet Ghai et al.

Summary: The study aimed to explore the safety and early oncologic and functional outcomes of targeted focal high-intensity focused ultrasound for intermediate-risk clinically significant prostate cancer. Real-time monitoring and statistical analysis showed no major treatment-related adverse events during the treatment process, with the majority of participants free of clinically significant prostate cancer after the 5-month biopsy.

The comparison of myomectomy, UAE and MRgFUS in the treatment of uterine fibroids: a meta analysis

Fan Xu et al.

Summary: This study compared the re-intervention rates of myomectomy, UAE, and MRgFUS for uterine fibroids in different follow-up times. The results showed that myomectomy had the lowest re-intervention rates in both short and long term, while MRgFUS had the highest rates, especially increasing rapidly in the 60th month after treatment.
