Modeling third-body effects in the thermal decomposition of H2O2

Akira Matsugi

Summary: The thermal decomposition of hydrogen peroxide in different bath gases has been studied through classical trajectory calculations and master equation analyses. The calculated rate constants at low pressures were found to provide reasonable descriptions, with relative third-body efficiencies agreeing well with experimental data for some gases. However, the efficiency calculated for H2O was found to be overestimated at low temperatures.
