The Middle Permian to Triassic tectono-magmatic system in the southern Korean Peninsula

Summary: The Permo-Triassic adakitic magmatism in the southern Korean Peninsula is related to tectonomagmatic processes along the East Asian continental margin. The study provides evidence for a common subduction-accretion system between the North and South China Cratons with different magmatic suites generated by plate interactions. The adakitic magmatism reflects the interaction of slab-derived adakite melts with metasomatized mantle and lower crustal basement.
