Achieving low-thermal conductivity and high β phase in PVDF/PMMA blend foams via low-pressure microcellular foaming

Summary: Microcellular PVDF foam with high expansion ratio and small cell size was successfully fabricated using polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) additive and batch foaming method under mild processing conditions. The prepared PVDF/PMMA blend foam exhibited low thermal conductivity and high content of beta-phase crystal, showing promising applications in various fields.

Summary: A partially reticulated foam based on EPDM rubber was fabricated to absorb low-frequency acoustic waves. The study found that the ethylene content affected the cellular structure, viscoelastic behavior, and sound absorption characteristics. Lower ethylene content led to better sound absorption performance and lower impedance.
