Current status and future roles of additives in 3D printing-A perspective

Summary: This article discusses the evolution of 3D printing from rapid prototyping to mass production and the increasing importance of additives in meeting material requirements. The challenges faced by additive manufacturing in manufacturing applications are identified, including production speed, mechanical performance, product-environment interactions, and manufacturing readiness. The use of additives to improve performance and meet specific requirements is explored with examples.

Preparation of flexible, highly conductive polymer composite films based on double percolation structures and synergistic dispersion effect

Summary: The study found that a CNT/Gr ratio of 1:1 facilitated the creation of co-continuous double percolation structures and increased the electronic conductivity of the matrices. The composite films also exhibited good thermal stability and hydrophobicity. However, the incompatibility between PP and PC resulted in brittleness, leading to the addition of TPU to improve flexibility, although this adversely affected the conductivity.
