Propagation of dust-acoustic nonlinear waves in a superthermal collisional magnetized dusty plasma

Reda E. Tolba

Summary: This study investigates the nonlinear features of dust-acoustic waves in a multicomponent, collisional, magnetized dusty plasma. The DZK equation is solved using the generalized (G' / G)-expansion method and the Painleve analysis method, providing a class of solutions for different types of nonlinear waves. The effects of various plasma parameters on the behavior of the waves are also examined, with relevance to the understanding of cosmic dust-laden plasmas.

Dust-acoustic wave electrostatic and self-gravitational potentials in an opposite polarity dusty plasma system

Abdul Mannan et al.

Summary: The nature of electrostatic and self-gravitational potential structures in an opposite polarity dusty plasma system was identified through numerical analysis. It was found that the plasma system supports dust-acoustic solitary structures with positive and negative self-gravitational potentials but only with positive electrostatic potential. The amplitude of the solitary potential structures decreases with an increase in positive dust number density, and the effects of other dusty plasma parameters on these structures were also identified. Applications of this investigation in various dusty plasma systems were discussed.

Non-linear coherent structures in multi-species dusty plasma

Arpita Shome et al.

Summary: In this theoretical investigation, the presence of two-temperature electron fluids (hot and cold) in a multi-component dusty plasma was studied to understand their impact on dust acoustic solitary waves, double layers, and bipolar structures. Critical ion density values were found to determine compressive and rarefactive solitary waves regions in parametric space, with the critical points dependent on the densities and temperatures of the electron fluids. The study also revealed modifications in the dust acoustic soliton amplitude with increasing temperature of the hot electron fluid and the existence of double layer and bipolar structures via the Gardner equation.

Dust-acoustic solitary and cnoidal waves in a dense magnetized dusty plasma with temperature degenerate trapped electrons and nonthermal ions

A. Abdikian et al.

Summary: A rigorous theoretical study was conducted on obliquely propagating dust-acoustic solitary waves and cnoidal waves in a dense degenerate dusty plasma medium. The influence of different plasma parameters on the wave propagation was analyzed, and potential applications were proposed, including explaining the nature of solitary waves in different ultra-dense astrophysical environments and in experiments involving laser-plasma interaction.

Fluid dispersion relation of dust acoustic wave with ion flow

Yoshifumi Saitou

Summary: This study investigates the fluid dispersion relation of the dust acoustic wave in a plasma, showing that the propagation of the dust acoustic wave can be controlled by the energy exchange factor between the ion flow and dust fluid. Positive exchange factors lead to the propagation of the dust acoustic wave, while negative exchange factors result in the transfer of energy from the dust fluid to the ion flow.

Instability of Dust-Acoustic Waves in Plasmas with Two-Temperature Nonthermal Ions

D. -N. Gao et al.

Summary: Theoretical and numerical investigations were conducted on the instability of dust-acoustic waves in a magnetized dusty plasma with two-temperature nonthermal ions under transverse perturbation. It was found that the most unstable wave mode exists in the system, and solitary waves become unstable when the ratio of perturbation wavelength to solitary wave width exceeds a certain critical value in the experimental coordinate system.
