Neutron Star-Neutron Star and Neutron Star-Black Hole Mergers: Multiband Observations and Early Warnings

Chang Liu et al.

Summary: In this study, the multiband synergy between space-borne decihertz GW detectors and the ground-based Einstein Telescope (ET) is investigated. It is found that multiband observations can constrain the parameters related to dense matter properties and sky localization with higher precision.

Closing a spontaneous-scalarization window with binary pulsars

Junjie Zhao et al.

Summary: Binary pulsars, using the pulsar timing technique, provide important testbeds for gravity theories and offer tight constraints on alternative theories of gravity. The latest results from timing a set of seven binary pulsars allow for the tight constraint of neutron star's effective scalar coupling, which excludes the possibility of spontaneous scalarization of neutron stars within a certain class of scalar-tensor gravity theories.

Extending the Fisher Information Matrix in Gravitational-wave Data Analysis

Ziming Wang et al.

Summary: The Fisher information matrix is important in physics, but it can only provide ellipsoidal posterior contours and loses higher-order information. By extending it with the DALI method, more accurate forecasts and inferences can be obtained.

Stringent Tests of Gravity with Highly Relativistic Binary Plsars in the Era of LISA and SKA

Xueli Miao et al.

Summary: This paper considers a new multimessenger strategy to detect and study Galactic pulsar-neutron star systems with an orbital period of approximately 10-100 minutes, using the Laser Interferometer Space Antenna and the Square Kilometre Array. Simulation results show that highly relativistic PSR-NS systems will significantly improve the constraints on parameters of gravity theories.

The missing link in gravitational-wave astronomy A summary of discoveries waiting in the decihertz range

Manuel Arca Sedda et al.

Summary: In the coming years, both ground-based and space-based gravitational-wave observatories will continue to discover binary systems, with a focus on the uncharted decihertz frequency band. Decihertz observatories will play a key role in early detection of binary mergers, as well as providing new tests for general relativity and particle physics.
