Correlation functions and transport coefficients in generalised hydrodynamics

Jacopo De Nardis et al.

Summary: This article reviews recent advances in exact results for dynamical correlation functions and related transport coefficients in interacting integrable models at large scales. The discussion includes topics such as Drude weights, conductivity and diffusion constants, as well as linear and nonlinear response in equilibrium and non-equilibrium states. The authors consider the problems from the perspectives of the general hydrodynamic theory of many-body systems and form-factor expansions in integrable models, showing how they provide a comprehensive and consistent set of exact methods for extracting large scale behaviors. Various applications in integrable spin chains and field theories are also discussed.

Quantum gas microscopy of Kardar-Parisi-Zhang superdiffusion

David Wei et al.

Summary: Researchers experimentally investigated the relaxation of domain walls in spin chains in a cold-atom quantum simulator and found that it is governed by the KPZ dynamical exponent. They also discovered that the occurrence of KPZ scaling requires both integrability and a nonabelian SU(2) symmetry. Additionally, they used a quantum gas microscope to measure an observable based on spin-transport statistics and observed the nonlinearity characteristic of KPZ universality.

Hydrodynamic nonlinear response of interacting integrable systems

Michele Fava et al.

Summary: The study establishes a formalism for computing the nonlinear response of interacting integrable systems, showing results that are asymptotically exact in the hydrodynamic limit. Spatially resolved nonlinear responses can distinguish interacting integrable systems from noninteracting ones, with a method for computing finite-temperature Drude weights and identifying nonperturbative regimes of the nonlinear response.

Fine structure of the nonlinear Drude weights in the spin-1/2 XXZ chain

Yuhi Tanikawa et al.

Summary: The study focuses on the nonlinear Drude weights of the spin-1/2 XXZ chain in the critical regime at zero temperature, showing different behaviors of NLDWs and identifying specific anisotropies that lead to the convergence of NLDW to a finite value.

Analytical results for the low-temperature Drude weight of the XXZ spin chain

Andrew Urichuk et al.

Summary: The spin-1/2 XXZ chain shows non-zero Drude weight at finite temperatures, with the leading orders of the Drude weight expressed as a fractal structure dependent on anisotropy Delta. The analytical results for low-temperature asymptotics were obtained using a thermodynamic Bethe ansatz approach.

Exact results for nonlinear Drude weights in the spin-1/2 XXZ chain

Yuhi Tanikawa et al.

Summary: By investigating the nonlinear Drude weights of the spin-1/2 XXZ chain in the critical regime, it was found that these weights diverge in the thermodynamic limit, which can be considered as a generic feature of nonlinear Drude weights. These divergences result from nonanalytic finite-size corrections to the ground-state energy.
