A potential full Heusler thermoelectric material CO2ZrZ (Z=Al, Si, Ga and Sn) in low temperature: An Ab-initio investigation

G. Remil et al.

Summary: The structural, electronic, magnetic, elastic, and thermoelectric properties of full-Heusler alloys Co(2)ZrZ (Z = Al, Si, Ga, and Sn) were investigated using the framework of spin density functional theory. The results showed that the Cu2MnAl-type structure is more stable and exhibits half-metallic behavior with 100% spin polarization at Fermi energy. These alloys also display good mechanical stability and show promise for thermoelectric applications and spintronics devices.

New p-type sp-based half-Heusler compounds LiBaX(X = Si, Ge) for spintronics and thermoelectricity via ab-initio calculations

R. Bentata et al.

Summary: The study shows that the sp-based half-Heusler LiBaX (X = Si and Ge) alloys exhibit ferromagnetic, half metallic properties, suitable for Spintronic applications. They have good thermoelectric properties with high figure of merit values. These compounds maintain their half-metallicity under large lattice constant and pressure changes, making them potential candidates for Spintronic devices and thermoelectric applications.
