Bacterial Complexes of Urbanozems in Southern Cities of Russia

A. M. Glushakova et al.

Summary: The study revealed that urban soils in cities with high anthropogenic impacts undergo significant transformation of natural bacterial complexes, containing a high abundance of pathogenic microorganisms that may cause intestinal and allergic diseases. In contrast, in cities with lower population density, changes in the structure of natural bacterial complexes in urban soils are minimal.
