The dynamic characteristics of pure-quartic solitons and soliton molecules

Xiaoyan Liu et al.

Summary: In this paper, the dynamical characteristics of pure-quartic solitons (PQSs) generated in mode-locked fiber lasers are studied, and the bilinear forms and solutions of the fourth-order nonlinear Schrodinger equation (FNLSE) in optical fiber systems are obtained using Hirota's bilinear method. An interesting phenomenon of PQS molecular interaction is found, and soliton-asymmetric soliton molecules are obtained by parameters control.

Soliton Rectangular Pulses and Bound States in a Dissipative System Modeled by the Variable-Coefficients Complex Cubic-Quintic Ginzburg-Landau Equation

Yuan-Yuan Yan et al.

Summary: The study focused on the complex cubic-quintic Ginzburg-Landau equation and calculated the analytic one-soliton solution of the variable-coefficients CQGLE. It was found that rectangular dissipative soliton pulses of the variable-coefficients CQGLE can be effectively realized and controlled, breaking through the energy limitation of soliton pulses and potentially providing a theoretical basis for the preparation of high-energy soliton pulses in fiber lasers.

Stable transmission characteristics of double-hump solitons for the coupled Manakov equations in fiber lasers

Guoli Ma et al.

Summary: This paper mainly focuses on the control and amplification of double-hump solitons in fiber lasers theoretically, presenting the bilinear forms and soliton solutions of the coupled Manakov equations, and discussing the transmission of double-hump solitons. Factors affecting the stable transmission of double-hump solitons are analyzed, and the relevant conclusions have important guiding significance for understanding the generation of stable double-hump solitons in fiber lasers.

Dynamics of bright soliton in a spin-orbit coupled spin-1 Bose-Einstein condensate*

Hui Guo et al.

Summary: The dynamics of bright solitons in a spin-orbit coupled spin-1 Bose-Einstein condensate were investigated both analytically and numerically. It was found that the spin-orbit coupling couples the soliton's spin with its center-of-mass motion, resulting in periodical oscillation of the center-of-mass. The motion of the center-of-mass of the soliton can be viewed as a superposition of periodical and linear motions.

Bright soliton solutions of the (2+1)-dimensional generalized coupled nonlinear Schrodinger equation with the four-wave mixing term

Lill Wang et al.

Summary: This paper investigates optical solitons in birefringent fiber by studying the (2+1)-dimensional generalized coupled nonlinear Schrodinger equation with the four-wave mixing (FWM) term. The study explores how the FWM parameter and some free parameters affect solitons' performance, as well as their energy transfer during elastic collision and separation. The conclusions drawn from this research may prove useful in improving communication quality in multi-mode fibers.

Localized waves and mixed interaction solutions with dynamical analysis to the Gross-Pitaevskii equation in the Bose-Einstein condensate

Haotian Wang et al.

Summary: In this study, a breather, rogue wave, and mixed interaction structures are identified in the Gross-Pitaevskii equation in Bose-Einstein condensate using the generalized Darboux transformation method, with discussions on the effects of related parameters on rogue wave structures. Numerical simulations confirm the dynamics and stability of these structures, showing that they can evolve with small amplitude perturbations under certain conditions, while breathers cannot. These findings suggest potential feasibility for experimental observation of these structures.
