Lead-free double perovskite is a candidate material for green optoelectronic applications due to its low toxicity and human-friendly characteristics. By introducing propylammonium, a larger size 2D double perovskite single crystal (PA)4AgBiBr8 has been grown, which exhibits good X-ray response. The constructed Au/(PA)4AgBiBr8/Au X-ray detector shows high sensitivity.
Lead-free double perovskite has become a candidate material for green optoelectronic applications due to its low toxicity and human-friendly characteristics. Double perovskite has a huge application prospect in the field of optical detectors, especially X-ray detection in recent years. By introducing propylammonium (PA), we have grown a larger size 2D double perovskite (PA)4AgBiBr8 single crystal. While inheriting the high stability of the 2D material, it also exhibits good X-ray response. The constructed planar Au/(PA)4AgBiBr8/Au X-ray detector displays a sensitivity of 6.89 mu C Gy 1 cm-2 under 40 V bias voltage and 40 keV X-ray radiation.
