Enhancement of physico-chemical, optical, dielectric and antimicrobial properties of polyvinyl alcohol/carboxymethyl cellulose blend films by addition of silver doped hydroxyapatite nanoparticles

Summary: Silver doped hydroxyapatite nanoparticles were successfully synthesized and incorporated into a mixed solution of polyvinyl alcohol and carboxymethyl cellulose. The experimental results showed that the doping of silver nanoparticles significantly influenced the structural, optical, dielectric, and antimicrobial properties of the nanocomposite films. These nanocomposites may have potential applications in biomedical fields.

Effect of zinc oxide nanoparticles on physical properties of carboxymethyl cellulose/ poly (ethylene oxide) matrix

Summary: Zinc oxide nanoparticles with sizes 20-80 nm were successfully prepared using the Sol-Gel technique and loaded onto a polymer blend, resulting in a notable decrease in bandgap, increase in refractive index, and enhancement in conductivity and dielectric parameters. The optimum ZnO NPs content for solid-state supercapacitors was found to be 2 wt%.

Summary: Nanocomposite samples of CMC/SA/Li4Ti5O12 were prepared, and the results showed that the increase of Li4Ti5O12 concentration led to a decrease in crystallinity, an enhancement in optical properties, an improvement in thermal stability, and an increase in electrical conductivity. The nanocomposites have potential applications in energy storage capacitors and alternative separator rechargeable lithium-ion batteries.

Tuning the ionic conductivity of flexible polyvinyl alcohol/sodium bromide polymer electrolyte films by incorporating silver nanoparticles for energy storage device applications

Summary: Silver nanoparticles were synthesized and loaded into polyvinyl alcohol/sodium bromide polymer electrolytes. The results showed that the loading of silver nanoparticles affected the crystallinity and complexation. The silver nanoparticles were uniformly distributed in the polymer matrix. The study also found that the concentration of charge carriers had a significant influence on the ionic conductivity.

Structural, optical analysis, and Poole-Frenkel emission in NiO/CMC-PVP: Bio-nanocomposites for optoelectronic applications

Summary: In this study, high purity NiO nanoparticles were prepared and introduced into a CMC-PVP blend. The results showed that the dispersion of NiO nanoparticles inside the blend and their complexation with the functional groups in the blend influenced the film structure. The introduction of NiO nanoparticles also resulted in reduced transparency and modified reflectivity of the films. Additionally, the NiO nanoparticles improved the conductivity and refractive index of the films.

Summary: Perovskite-polymer hybrids, prepared by mixing nano-sized BiFeO3 and NaTiO3 with PMMA through solution casting, exhibit improved physical properties and flexibility suitable for various electric and optoelectronic applications. Characterization techniques like X-ray diffraction, FTIR, and SEM-EDS were used to evaluate the structural properties, interactions, and thickness of the composite films. The incorporation of nano-fillers narrowed the optical bandgap while maintaining high transmittance, making these composite films suitable for thin film capacitors and bio-engineering systems.
