Jianping Wu

Summary: The paper presents a Riemann-Hilbert (RH) approach for a physically meaningful nonlocal integrable nonlinear Schrodinger equation of reverse-time type. The obtained results include symmetry relations of the scattering data, general multi-soliton solutions in reflectionless cases, and long-time behaviors of solutions in reflection cases. Furthermore, special soliton dynamics are explored and illustrated using Mathematica, demonstrating the remarkable features of the obtained multi-soliton solutions.

Strong and weak interactions of rational vector rogue waves and solitons to any n-component nonlinear Schrodinger system with higher-order effects

Weifang Weng et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the higher-order effects in the wave propagation of ultrashort light pulses in optical fibers. By using loop group theory, the authors find a multi-parameter family of novel rational vector rogue wave solutions for the n-component fourth-order nonlinear Schrodinger system. The weak and strong interactions of representative RVRW structures are exhibited, and higher-order RVRWs of the n-FONLS equation are also discovered. These rational solutions will be useful in studying RVRW phenomena in various nonlinear wave models.

Chen Peng et al.

Summary: In this study, new exact travelling wave solutions to the LPD equation with Kerr law of nonlinearity are obtained using the complete discrimination system for the polynomial method. The solutions include rational solutions, triangle function solutions, solitary wave solutions, and Jacobian elliptic function solutions. These solutions are graphically illustrated using three-dimensional and two-dimensional graphs. The study shows the efficiency of the complete discrimination system method by finding new solutions that were not studied in previous works.

N-double poles solutions for nonlocal Hirota equation with nonzero boundary conditions using Riemann-Hilbert method and PINN algorithm

Yong Chen et al.

Summary: In this paper, the nonlocal Hirota equation with nonzero boundary conditions is systematically investigated using the Riemann-Hilbert method and multi-layer physics-informed neural networks algorithm. The Jost function, scattering matrix, and their symmetry and asymptotic behavior are derived. The Riemann-Hilbert problem with nonzero boundary conditions is constructed, and the precise solutions are obtained for different poles. The multi-layer physics-informed neural networks algorithm is then applied to obtain the soliton solutions of the nonlocal Hirota equation using training data obtained from the Riemann-Hilbert method. The algorithm successfully recovers the soliton solutions, and the inverse problems of the nonlocal equation are discussed for the first time.

A novel reduction approach to obtain N-soliton solutions of a nonlocal nonlinear Schrodinger equation of reverse-time type

Jianping Wu

Summary: In this paper, a novel reduction approach is proposed to obtain N-soliton solutions of a physically meaningful nonlocal nonlinear Schrodinger equation of reverse-time type. Firstly, single-soliton solutions are obtained by reducing those of the local NLS equation. Secondly, N-soliton representations are conjectured and verified via an algebraic proof, and special soliton dynamics are theoretically explored and graphically illustrated to demonstrate the features of the soliton solutions. The merit of the proposed reduction approach lies in its purely algebraic nature which eliminates the need for complicated spectral analysis of the corresponding Lax pair.
