Metal Nanoparticles@Covalent Organic Framework@Enzymes: A Universal Platform for Fabricating a Metal-Enzyme Integrated Nanocatalyst

Hao Zhao et al.

Summary: Cascade catalysis that combines chemical catalysis and biocatalysis, especially the integration of metal nanoparticles (MNPs) with enzymes, has attracted extensive attention. This study proposed a strategy to space-separately immobilize MNPs and enzymes to a highly stable covalent organic framework (COF). The obtained integrated nanocatalyst showed high catalytic efficiency and reusability in the degradation of organophosphate nerve agents. The versatility of the preparation strategy of COF-based integrated nanocatalyst has also been expanded.

Effects of connecting sequences of building blocks on reticular synthesis of covalent organic frameworks

De-Li Ma et al.

Summary: The principle of reticular chemistry is widely used in designing crystalline porous materials like MOFs and COFs. Recent research has shown that the connecting sequence of building blocks plays a crucial role in determining the crystalline structures of COFs. The article establishes a model system to demonstrate the impact of different connecting sequences on COFs structures and verifies it through target synthesis.

Fabrication of hollow covalent-organic framework microspheres via emulsion-interfacial strategy to enhance laccase immobilization for tetracycline degradation

Ying Tang et al.

Summary: H-COF-OMe was fabricated using emulsion interfacial polymerization, exhibiting a hollow spherical microstructure and unique defects-rich interface, with high loading capacity and activity recovery for laccase. It efficiently stabilized the active conformation of laccase, leading to significantly enhanced tetracycline degradation performance. This work suggested a novel COF synthesis strategy as laccase immobilization supporters for high TC degradation, showing promising potential for degradation of organic pollutants.
