Model BOSS and eBOSS luminous red galaxies at 0.2 < z < 1.0 using SubHalo Abundance Matching with three parameters

Jiaxi Yu et al.

Summary: SubHalo Abundance Matching (SHAM) is an empirical method that uses high-resolution N-body simulations to construct galaxy catalogues. In this study, SHAM is applied to the UNIT simulation to simulate SDSS BOSS/eBOSS luminous red galaxies (LRGs) over a wide redshift range. Additional parameters, v(smear) and V-ceil, are included to account for redshift uncertainty and galaxy incompleteness, and they are crucial for reproducing observed 2PCF multipoles. The results suggest that the LOWZ sample may contain another type of galaxies that require different treatment.

A Self-Calibrating Halo-Based Group Finder: Application to SDSS

Jeremy L. Tinker

Summary: In this study, a new galaxy group-finder algorithm is applied to the Main Galaxy Sample of the SDSS, providing constraints on the galaxy-halo connection for star-forming and quiescent populations. The results from the self-calibrated group catalog differ significantly from previous analyses, particularly in terms of transition halo mass scale and distribution of star-forming vs quiescent halos. The algorithm shows promise for future improvements and has been made publicly available for further research.

Completed SDSS-IV extended Baryon Oscillation Spectroscopic Survey: Cosmological implications from two decades of spectroscopic surveys at the Apache Point Observatory

Shadab Alam et al.

Summary: Based on the final measurements of clustering using galaxies, quasars, and Ly alpha forests from the SDSS lineage, this study provides comprehensive cosmological implications. The BAO data alone can rule out dark-energy-free models, and when combined with other measurements, significant improvements are made on constraining cosmological parameters within the ΛCDM model. The results indicate that various parameter extensions remain consistent with a ΛCDM model in a combined analysis, showing precision changes of less than 0.6% in key parameters.

The completed SDSS-IV extended Baryon Oscillation Spectroscopic Survey: large-scale structure catalogues and measurement of the isotropic BAO between redshift 0.6 and 1.1 for the Emission Line Galaxy

Anand Raichoor et al.

Summary: This paper presents the Emission Line Galaxy (ELG) sample of the extended Baryon Oscillation Spectroscopic Survey, describing observations, redshift measurements, and large-scale structure catalogues used for cosmological analysis. A spherically averaged baryon acoustic oscillations (BAO) measurement in configuration space shows consistency with the BAO feature, providing a 3.2% measurement of the spherically averaged BAO distance at an effective redshift of 0.845.
