Acrylate-based nanocomposite zirconium-dispersed polymer dielectric for flexible oxide thin-film transistors with a curvature radius of 2 mm

Jae Min Jung et al.

Summary: A novel hybrid dielectric film is synthesized using zirconium acrylate (ZrA) and poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) at a low temperature of 150 degrees C. It demonstrates high dielectric constant and low leakage current density, leading to significant improvement in the performance of electronic devices. Furthermore, the film exhibits good deform-ability, maintaining electrical performance even after extreme mechanical bending.

Ultrastable Glassy Polymer Films with an Ultradense Brush Morphology

Biao Zuo et al.

Summary: This study demonstrates that polymer brushes with ultrahigh grafting density exhibit significantly improved thermal stability, overcoming confinement and interfacial effects to control thin-film material properties. The dense packing and molecular ordering in the amorphous state of ultradense brushes prepared by surface-initiated atom transfer radical polymerization in combination with a self-assembled monolayer of initiators play a crucial role in enhancing the thermal stability of polymer films.

Dynamics of Opposing Polymer Brushes: A Computer Simulation Study

Krzysztof Halagan et al.

Summary: Opposing polymer brush systems were synthesized and studied by molecular modeling, with dynamic properties analyzed through Monte Carlo simulations. Surface density and mean polymer length were found to significantly influence the system dynamics, while the self-diffusion coefficient of the solvent was shown to depend on the degree of polymerization and polymer concentration. Additionally, changes in solvent mobility due to regions of different polymer densities could be captured.
