A green method for Mn2+ and NH4+-N removal in electrolytic manganese residue leachate by electric field and phosphorus ore flotation tailings

Yaling Deng et al.

Summary: In this study, an electric field and phosphorus ore flotation tailings were used to remove Mn2+ and NH4+-N from electrolytic manganese residue leachate. After adjustment, the concentrations of Mn2+, NH4+-N, and other compounds met the permitted levels for integrated wastewater discharge, with phosphate precipitation obtained for potential market fertilizer use. This study provides a new research idea for the harmless disposal of EMRL and the resource utilization of POFTs.
