One-component nano-metal-organic frameworks with superior multienzyme-mimic activities for 1,4-dihydropyridine metabolism

Summary: In this study, nanosized metal-organic frameworks FePCN with superior multienzyme-like activities were successfully synthesized and applied in catalyzing oxidation reactions, detecting H2O2, and exhibiting potential CYP-like activity for the oxidation of hypotensive drug 1,4-DHP into DDPD. FePCN showed intrinsic oxidase, peroxidase, and phosphatase-like activities, providing a feasible way for rational design of one component nanomaterials as multienzyme mimics.

These sensors have been successfully applied in detecting AA and Fe2+ in food and biological samples, offering rapid detection methods for specific analysis. This work not only enhances the multi-nanozyme activity of nanocomposites, but also provides a pathway for the rapid analysis of specific targets using special nanozyme activities.
