Electrochemical sensor for the assessment of carbohydrate deficient transferrin: Application to diagnosis of congenital disorders of glycosilation

Tania Sierra et al.

Summary: The study introduces a screen-printed electrochemical sensor for the detection of carbohydrate deficient transferrin using Os (VI) tag-based electrochemistry. The relationship between carbohydrate and protein signals serves as an indicator of glycosylation degree, showing strong correlation with the %CDT parameter obtained by CE-UV in the analysis of serum samples from CDG patients.
