Intratumoral Injection of Clostridium novyi-NT Spores in Patients with Treatment-refractory Advanced Solid Tumors

Filip Janku et al.

Summary: The first-in-human study on intratumoral injection of Clostridium novyi-NT demonstrated its feasibility with manageable toxicities. The treatment induced antitumor responses and host immune reactions in patients, with most experiencing reduction or stability in injected tumor size. Further studies are warranted to explore the potential of C. novyi-NT in human therapy.
