JNK selective inhibitor, IQ-1S, protects the mice against lipopolysaccharides-induced sepsis

Zhelong Nie et al.

Summary: The study demonstrated that IQ-1S significantly reduced mortality and lung inflammation in sepsis mice by inhibiting inflammatory cytokine levels and suppressing M1 macrophage polarization. Furthermore, IQ-1S effectively inhibited the activation of the JNK signaling pathway and reduced the phosphorylation level of JNK2 in sepsis mice, ultimately protecting the mice against LPS-induced sepsis.

Mechanical Allodynia Circuitry in the Dorsal Horn Is Defined by the Nature of the Injury

Cedric Peirs et al.

Summary: Mechanical allodynia in the spinal dorsal horn is conveyed by different neural circuits depending on the nature of the injury, such as inflammatory or neuropathic. Calretinin neurons and protein kinase C gamma neurons play distinct roles in conveying mechanical allodynia in different locations within the dorsal horn. Cholecystokinin neurons located deeper in the dorsal horn are important for both types of injuries.

Regulatory role of the TLR4/JNK signaling pathway in sepsis-induced myocardial dysfunction

Chao Chang et al.

Summary: Sepsis is a life-threatening condition caused by infection, and myocardial dysfunction is a significant factor contributing to poor prognosis. The TLR4/JNK signaling pathway plays a critical role in regulating inflammatory cytokine production and myocardial dysfunction during LPS-induced sepsis. Inhibiting this pathway may help alleviate inflammation and cardiac damage.
