Four different photonics based methods for producing Au-TiO2 nanocomposites were introduced and their experimental results were investigated. Significant discrepancies in size and morphology of the composed nanoparticles were observed among these methods. Only in the fourth method, the particles morphology was preserved and remained unchanged.
Four different photonics based methods to produce Au-TiO2 nanocomposite have been introduced and experimental results have been investigated. These methods include production of one species of nanoparticles in the suspension of another one , post irradiation of the mixture of nanoparticles at the wavelength of gold plasmonic absorption , post irradiation of the mixture of nanoparticles at the wavelength of TiO2 excitonic absorption , and exposure the mixture of nanoparticles to ultrasonic waves . Results show that, although the TiO2-Au nanocomposite can be synthesized by all of these methods, but there are significant discrepancies between the composed nanoparticles, including their size, and morphology of composition. Only in the fourth method, the particles morphology was preserved and remained unchanged.
