Solid Energetic Material Based on Aluminum Micropowder Modified by Microwave Radiation

Andrei Mostovshchikov et al.

Summary: This paper discusses the application of pulsed microwave radiation for modifying crystalline components in high-energy materials. Through the study of an aluminized mixture, it was found that microwave radiation can increase the reactivity of aluminum powder, leading to higher energy release during combustion. Additionally, there is a slight difference in the burning rates between irradiated and non-irradiated aluminum micropowders in high-energy materials.
