Heterogeneous photocatalytic degradation of anionic dye on polyaniline/microcrystalline cellulose composite

The possible mechanism for the degradation of MV dye by Cu/C-100 0-4 composite was analyzed using LC-MS methodology.

Photodegradation and mineralization of metronidazole by a novel quadripartite SnO2@TiO2/ZrTiO4/ZrO2 photocatalyst: Comprehensive photocatalyst characterization and kinetic study

Summary: A novel quadripartite SnO2@TiO2/ZrTiO4/ZrO2 (STZZ) photocatalyst was prepared using a facile hydrothermal technique and its photocatalytic activity was tested for metronidazole (MNZ) photodegradation under UV irradiation in water. The effects of photocatalyst type, pH, photocatalyst dosage, and MNZ initial concentration on the photodegradation of MNZ were evaluated. The results showed that the optimal degradation of MNZ was achieved using STZZ photocatalyst at pH=6.5, with a photocatalyst dosage of 0.07 g L-1 and MNZ concentration of 20 mg L-1.

Dislocation-strained MoS2 nanosheets for high efficiency hydrogen evolution reaction

Summary: Defect engineering is an effective strategy to optimize the catalytic performance of MoS2 by introducing dislocations. This study successfully synthesized numerous dislocation-strained structures in MoS2 nanosheets through low-temperature hydrothermal synthesis. The high-density dislocations and corresponding strain field resulted in superior catalytic activity under visible light. This work provides a new pathway for improving the catalytic activity of MoS2 through dislocation-strained synergistic modulation.

A novel statistical approach for the synthesis of Chalcones viaClaisen-Schmidt condensation catalyzed by Pd nanoparticles modified mesoporous TiO2 as an efficient heterogeneous catalyst

Palladium nanoparticles supported on mesoporous TiO2 are used as a catalyst, with optimal conditions achieved at a PdNPs concentration of 0.1 wt%, a reaction temperature of 65 degrees C, and a reaction time of 40 min. The adjusted coefficient of determination indicated a suitable model, and the catalyst could be reused multiple times without a decrease in activity, demonstrating the efficiency of the approach.
