3D porous Ca-modified Mg-Zr mixed metal oxide for fluoride adsorption

Xinyuan Wang et al.

Summary: This study successfully utilized Ca-Modified Mg-Zr Mixed Metal Oxides (CCMZ) prepared by a green hydrothermal process and high-temperature calcination for fluoride adsorption. The 3D porous structure of CCMZ significantly enhanced fluoride migration and diffusion, showing good selectivity and reusability. The fluoride adsorption mechanism of CCMZ involved electrostatic attraction and ion exchange mechanism, providing a rational design and a simple preparation method for a new class of fluoride adsorbents.

A correlation between cavitation bubble temperature, sonoluminescence and interfacial chemistry - A minireview

Nor Saadah M. Yusof et al.

Summary: Ultrasound induced cavitation, also known as acoustic cavitation, is a useful process in various applications. Scientists from different fields have been studying the fundamental aspects of acoustic cavitation for decades. It is known that extreme temperature and pressure conditions are generated when cavitation bubbles collapse. Experimental techniques have been developed to estimate the temperature of cavitation bubbles, and the phenomenon of sonoluminescence has been observed. Sonoluminescence studies have contributed to the understanding of cavitation processes in both single and multiple bubble systems.

Carbon dots-confined CoP-CoO nanoheterostructure with strong interfacial synergy triggered the robust hydrogen evolution from ammonia borane

Han Wu et al.

Summary: This study presents a highly efficient and robust non-noble-metal catalyst for the hydrolysis of ammonia borane, which exhibits strong interface-induced synergistic catalysis to decrease energy barriers and introduce numerous defects for enhanced reactivity. The heterogeneous interface design technique proposed here may offer a new strategy for developing efficient and cost-effective catalysts in energy catalysis.
