Contribution of vanadium particles to thermal movement of correlated two-dimensional pancake Abrikosov vortices in Bi-2223 superconducting system

Asaf Tolga Ulgen et al.

Summary: This article presents a new understanding of the variation in magnetic strength performance, flux pinning, and energy dissipation mechanism of polycrystalline bulk Bi-2223 superconducting materials with different vanadium concentrations under applied magnetic fields. The study reveals that both increased vanadium concentration and external magnetic field strength significantly damage the magnetic strength performance, vortex dynamics, flux pinning ability, and vortex lattice elasticity of the superconducting ceramics. Vanadium addition promotes the thermal movement of correlated 2D pancake Abrikosov vortices and degrades the formation of super-electrons in the Bi-2223 crystal system.

Evaluation of crystallographic and electrical-superconducting features of Bi-2223 advanced ceramics with vanadium addition

B. Akkurt et al.

Summary: The study examines the impact of vanadium particles on various features of Bi1.8Sr2.0Ca2.2Cu3.0VxOy superconducting materials using different detection methods. It is found that vanadium seriously affects the content of the Bi-2223 phase in the crystal structure, reduces the wave function amplitude of super-electrons, and lowers critical temperature values. Additionally, the inclusion of vanadium leads to changes in crystallite size, lattice parameters, and strain in the crystal structure.

Refinement of fundamental characteristic properties with homovalent Er/Y partial replacement of YBa2Cu3O7-y ceramic matrix

Umit Erdem et al.

Summary: The study examines the effects of partial substitution of Er-sites for the Y-sites in the YBa2Cu3O7-y (YBCO) crystal system on fundamental superconducting, electrical, crystallinity, and structural morphology features. It is found that these characteristics improve with incremental Er/Y substitution up to x = 0.03, beyond which they degrade drastically. The optimal Er content enhances the crystallographic features and improves the structural quality, while excess Er/Y substitution leads to structural problems and inhomogeneous strain distribution in the YBCO crystal structure.
