Formation of Narrow-Band N-Type Optical Resonance in Vapors of Potassium Atoms

A. Sargsyan

Summary: An N-type optical resonance formed in the ?-system of potassium atoms was investigated using two CW narrow-band lasers and a spectroscopic cell. The resonance was shown to split into three equidistant components in a longitudinal magnetic field. The parameters of the N-type resonance formed in vapors of cesium and rubidium atoms were compared, revealing that the resonance involves the lower ground levels F-g = 1, 2.

Sub-Doppler spectra of sodium D lines in a wide range of magnetic field: Theoretical study

Rodolphe Momier et al.

Summary: The study focuses on the interaction of sodium vapor with a static magnetic field, investigating the behavior of all Zeeman transitions as a function of the magnetic field and identifying important characteristics such as guiding transitions and magnetically-induced circular dichroism. The obtained theoretical results can be applied to future experiments utilizing sodium vapor nanocells.
