Exploring patient perspectives on telemedicine monitoring within the operating room

Joanna Abraham et al.

Summary: The study findings indicate that surgical patients' attitudes towards remote monitoring in eOR are influenced by familiarity with clinicians and healthcare systems, with a preference for local telemedicine systems over distant ones. However, barriers to eOR remote monitoring predominantly involve organizational policies, environment, culture, personnel, workflow, communication, hardware, and software aspects.
