Online Information and Mentorship: Perspectives From Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Applicants

Summary: This study investigated the use of online resources and mentors among orthopaedic surgery residency applicants. Results showed that applicants value mentorship more than online resources, even though they frequently refer to online information. The study suggests that the orthopaedic community could provide better mentorship to reduce applicants' reliance on subpar online information.
