Integrating Multisource Block-Wise Missing Data in Model Selection

Fei Xue et al.

Summary: The proposed multiple block-wise imputation (MBI) approach incorporates imputations based on both complete and incomplete observations for handling missing data. It constructs estimating equations based on all available information and integrates informative estimating functions to achieve efficient estimators. The method shows estimation and model selection consistency under both fixed-dimensional and high-dimensional settings, and is more efficient than single imputation methods based on complete observations only.

Adjusting for selection bias due to missing data in electronic health records-based research

Sarah B. Peskoe et al.

Summary: This study proposes a new framework for researching electronic health records data to better estimate and infer regression models, addressing the selection bias caused by incomplete/missing data. Simulation results show that the proposed methods perform well in small-sample properties, however, researchers need to balance bias and variance when handling missing data.
