Impact of preparation temperature on the structure, optical and electronic characteristics of Zn0.9V0.1S nanoparticles with Williamson-Hall model mechanistic view

Zein K. Heiba et al.

Summary: This work investigates the impact of preparation temperature on the structural, optical, and electronic characteristics of vanadium doped ZnS nanoparticles. The results show that the parameters related to lattice defects, such as lattice size and microstrain, change with increasing temperature. The optical properties exhibit a decrease in the optical band gap energy and a blue shift in emitted colors with temperature. The electronic characteristics show that ZnS is a semiconductor, while doped samples exhibit half metallic or metallic characteristics.

Structural, linear and nonlinear optical properties of poly (vinyl alcohol) (PVA)/polyethylene glycol (PEG)/SnS2:Y nanocomposite films

A. M. El-naggar et al.

Summary: In this study, a blend of Poly (vinyl alcohol), polyethylene glycol, and nano SnS2/Y was fabricated using thermolysis and casting procedures. The nanoscale properties of the filler SnS2/Y were examined through various techniques including XRD, SEM, TEM, and EDS. The results showed that loading the PVA/PEG blend with SnS2/Y had a significant influence on the structure and optical properties, with the fluorescence intensity and color depending on the ratios of the nanofiller.

Modifications of the structural and optical properties of PVA/PVP loaded with Zn0.75-xCd0.25VxS nano powders

Zein K. Heiba et al.

Summary: PVA/PVP blended polymers loaded with nano Zn0.75-xCd0.25VxS (x = 0, 0.05. 0.1, 0.15) were synthesized and found to have a homogeneous distribution of the embedded nano-powder throughout the matrix. The optical bandgaps of all loaded blends with the nano materials were decreased.

The effect of concentration of nano CdS/Fe prepared under different conditions on the structural, optical absorption and linear/nonlinear parameters of PVA/PVP polymer blend

Zein K. Heiba et al.

Summary: Cd0.9Fe0.1S nanofillers were prepared using different doping methods and their effects on the properties of PVA/PVP blends were studied. The formation and properties of the nanofillers were investigated in detail using techniques such as X-ray diffraction and refractive index measurements.

Modulation of optical properties of PolyvinylPyrrolidone via doping with praseodymium (III) nitrate salt

K. H. Mahmoud et al.

Summary: This study analyzed the optical absorption and energy band gap changes in the PVP doped Pr(NO3)(3) composite system through the interaction between polymer and metal nitrate. The results showed that with increasing doping of Pr(NO3)(3), the refractive index and number of carbon atoms per cluster in the composite system noticeably increased.

Vanadium Doped ZnS Nanoparticles: Effect of Vanadium Concentration on Structural, Optical and Electrical Properties

Md. Sohel Rana et al.

Summary: Vanadium (V) doped zinc sulfide (ZnS) nanoparticles were successfully synthesized by chemical co-precipitation method. The study indicated that the doping concentration could influence the crystal structure, optical properties, and electrical properties of the nanoparticles. The bandgap tuning behavior with V-doping concentrations may have interesting applications in optoelectronic devices.
