M. Oubaaqa et al.

Summary: Phenylalanine and Aspartic acid have been studied for their inhibition of mild steel corrosion in hydrochloric acid solution, with their efficiency increasing with concentration and following the Langmuir adsorption mechanism. These compounds act as mixed inhibitors and decrease the dissolution of ferric ions in corrosive solutions, with good adsorption on the MS surface observed through SEM images. Computational methods like DFT, MCS, and MDS were used to study the metal-inhibitor interaction type.

F. Benhiba et al.

Summary: In this study, the quinoxaline molecule substitute (CH3)(2)Q was used as a corrosion inhibitor for mild steel in an acidic environment. Through a series of experiments and theoretical analyses, it was found that (CH3)(2)Q effectively reduced the corrosion of mild steel in 1M HCl, with an inhibition efficiency of up to 93.50%. Experimental results showed that (CH3)(2)Q could form an adsorbed layer on the surface of mild steel, thereby enhancing its corrosion resistance.
