Summary: Bismuth ferrite nanostructure, BiFeO3 (BFO), a member of the perovskite family, was synthesized using a chemical route and sintered at 800 degrees Celsius for 6 hours. The crystalline phase, morphology, and particle size of the BFO samples were investigated using XRD, SEM, and TEM, respectively. The prepared material exhibited pseudocapacitive behavior and a low charge transfer resistance.

The controlled surface properties of the materials make them ideal for supercapacitance and Li-ion battery applications, showing high specific capacitance and discharge capacities.
