Synthesis of indole derivatives as diabetics II inhibitors and enzymatic kinetics study of α-glucosidase and α-amylase along with their in-silico study

Muhammad Taha et al.

Summary: In this study, a series of indole-based compounds were investigated for their inhibitory effects against pancreatic alpha-amylase and intestinal alpha-glucosidase activity, showing potential as antidiabetic drugs. Some analogues exhibited good inhibitory activities, suggesting the influence of substituents on their inhibitory potential. Docking studies revealed interactions between potential analogues and enzyme active sites, providing insights for future drug development.

Discovery of 5-(N-hydroxycarbamimidoyl) benzofuran derivatives as novel indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase 1 (IDO1) inhibitors

Juyoung Jung et al.

Summary: Through a structure-activity relationship study, the N-3-bromophenyl derivative 19 was identified as the most potent inhibitor of IDO1, with an IC50 value of 0.44 μM. Molecular modeling revealed that interactions with heme iron, halogen bonding with Cys129, and hydrophobic interactions were crucial for the high potency of compound 19.
