The effective field theory of vector-tensor theories

Summary: In this study, a systematic formulation of vector-tensor theories based on the effective field theory (EFT) approach is investigated. The study highlights the universal differences between scalar-tensor theories and vector-tensor theories. The characteristic properties of vector-tensor theories in the context of dark energy are discussed by studying linear cosmological perturbations.

Shift-symmetric SO(N) multi-Galileon

Summary: The study investigates multi-field extensions of the generalized Galileon theory and tensor perturbations in the shift-symmetric SO(3) multi-Galileon theory in four dimensions. By imposing symmetries, the structure of the Lagrangian and its coupling constants are uniquely determined. This theory also leads to new cubic interactions of tensor modes, suggesting the existence of a new type of tensor primordial non-Gaussianity.
