Nanocatalytic Theranostics with Glutathione Depletion and Enhanced Reactive Oxygen Species Generation for Efficient Cancer Therapy

Lian-Hua Fu et al.

Summary: Chemodynamic therapy (CDT) is a promising method for killing cancer cells by converting intracellular hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) into highly toxic hydroxyl radicals ((OH)-O-center dot). An intelligent nanocatalytic theranostics, PGC-DOX, was developed to address the limitations of endogenous H2O2 and high GSH levels in tumor cells, leading to efficient cancer therapy.
