A social relationship preference aware peer-to-peer energy market for urban energy prosumers and consumers

Zehua Zhao et al.

Summary: This paper introduces a new peer-to-peer electricity market prototype that aims to facilitate energy trading among energy prosumers and consumers while considering their social relationship preferences. By establishing a data-driven social network model and an auction-based electricity trading mechanism, participants can make end-to-end energy trading decisions efficiently. Numerical simulations based on real-world datasets validate the proposed system's effectiveness.

An evolutionary game-theoretic approach to study the technological transformation of the industrial sector toward renewable electricity procurement: A case study of Iran

Mohammad-Bagher Jamali et al.

Summary: This study examines the renewable electricity procurement strategies adopted by manufacturers in the face of electricity shortages. Using an evolutionary game-theoretic approach, the researchers analyze the manufacturers' pricing decisions and long-term behaviors. The results indicate that industries with high annual electricity consumption converge faster to the strategy of purchasing electricity from technology-based suppliers.

Energy policy influence on the surplus welfare of subscribers in present of cleaner energy sources

Hui Wang et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the impact of quota obligation policy with tradable Green Certificates on surplus welfare, finding an increase in surplus welfare for users in the long term, albeit lower than the profits of the production company in the short term. Application of the policy not only leads to an increase in penetration rate of renewable energy sources but also contributes to an increase in surplus welfare.

Early European experience with tradable green certificates neglected by EU ETS architects

Aviel Verbruggen et al.

Summary: The Tradable Green-power Certificates (TGC) systems and Greenhouse Emission-permits Trading Systems (ETS) emerged in Europe in 1999-2001, both with flaws such as certificate allocation bypassing market mechanisms. The European Commission did not fully utilize the lessons from the trials and failures of the TGC market.
