Diet-related greenhouse gas emissions and major food contributors among Japanese adults: comparison of different calculation methods

Minami Sugimoto et al.

Summary: By using three different calculation methods, the average daily diet-related greenhouse gas emissions per day for Japanese adults varied significantly. There were also significant differences at the food group level. Regardless of the method used, meat was consistently identified as the top contributor to greenhouse gas emissions.
