Solubility isotherms determination of the H3BO3 + CsCl + H2O system at T = (273.15, 298.15, 323.15, 348.15 and 363.15) K and thermodynamic modeling

Ziyu Zhuang et al.

Summary: In this study, the solubility isotherms of the H3BO3 + CsCl + H2O system were determined, revealing the presence of three solubility branches and the composition of a novel adduct. Furthermore, by solving the single crystal structure and modeling using the Pitzer-Simonson-Clegg (PSC) model, a complete phase diagram of the system was constructed.

Solid-liquid equilibria in the systems cesium bromide plus holmium bromide plus water and cesium bromide plus holmium bromide plus hydrobromic acid (∼11.7 mass %) + water at T=298.15 K

Zhan-Ping Qiao et al.

Summary: The phase equilibria of cesium bromide and holmium bromide systems in water and a mixture of hydrobromic acid and water were studied at T = 298.15 K using the isothermal dissolution equilibrium method. The experimental results showed that Cs3Ho2Br9 center dot 16H2O was incongruently soluble in both systems, with a solubility of HoBr3 in water at 65.41 mass%.

Phase behaviour of the ternary systems Rb2SO4(1)-RbBr(2)-H2O(3)/Cs2SO4(1)-CsBr(2)-H2O(3) at T=288.15, 298.15, 308.15 K

Lihua Sun et al.

Summary: The phase equilibrium and physic-chemical properties of Rb2SO4(1)-RbBr(2)-H2O(3) and Cs2SO4(1)-CsBr(2)-H2O(3) systems were determined at different temperatures, showing one invariant point, two univariant curves, and three crystallization regions. The area of the crystallization region for RbBr and CsBr salts decreases with higher temperatures. The crystallization region area is strongly influenced by the solubility and hydration ability of the salts.
