AlOSO: Spectroscopy and Structure of a New Group of Astrochemical Molecules

Vincent J. Esposito et al.

Summary: This study explores the five isomers of the [Al, S, O-2] molecular system and predicts their rotational, vibrational, and electronic spectroscopic properties. The isoenergetic cis-AlOSO and diamond isomers are connected and may act as intermediates between Al + SO2 and AlO + SO in chemical pathways.

Kinetic Study of the Reactions of AlO with H2O and H2; Precursors to Stellar Dust Formation

Thomas P. Mangan et al.

Summary: This study investigated the kinetics of AlO reactions and Al chemistry around oxygen-rich AGB stars through experiments and theoretical calculations. The results provide insights into the formation of refractory alumina nanoparticles and the gas-phase Al species distribution in the stellar environment.
