Effects of alkali and alkaline earth metal species on the combustion characteristics and synergistic effects: Sewage sludge and its blend with coal

Mingzhe Shi et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the effects of alkali and alkaline earth metal species on the combustion characteristics and synergistic effects of the blend of sewage sludge and coal. The results show that K, Ca, and Na promote combustion and synergistic effects, while Mg affects combustion temperature and delay time. Alkali metals have a stronger promotion effect on the combustion of volatiles and synergistic effects.
