The electro-Fenton (EF) process, as an advanced oxidation process, shows promise for the destruction of antibiotics. This review provides a comprehensive analysis of the application of EF in treating synthetic and real wastewaters contaminated with common antibiotics from 2017 to 2021.

Resistive switching behavior, mechanism and synaptic characteristics in TiO2 nanosheets grown on Ti plate by hydrothermal method

Summary: In this study, TiO2 nanosheets were developed on a Ti plate using the hydrothermal approach, and resistive switching devices were fabricated by depositing Al on the TiO2 nanosheets. The XRD analysis confirmed the dominant presence of the anatase phase in the developed TiO2 nanosheets, while SEM images showed well-adherent and homogeneous growth. XPS confirmed the existence of oxygen vacancies in the TiO2 nanosheets, and the memristor devices based on these nanosheets exhibited stable resistive switching behavior with a high ON/OFF ratio and long retention period. The resistive switching mechanism of the TiO2 nanosheets memristor devices was found to involve Fowler-Nordheim tunneling and Schottky emission, and the device also displayed rectified behavior with increasing SET voltage. Additionally, the analog switching behaviors of the TiO2 nanosheets based memristor devices were investigated.

Surface Enhanced Raman Scattering in Graphene Quantum Dots Grown via Electrochemical Process

Summary: In this study, graphene quantum dots (GQDs) were successfully synthesized via an electrochemical process and SERS signals were obtained from GQDs' Raman spectra. The D and G peaks of GQDs spectra were observed through Raman spectroscopy, with an increase in potassium chloride concentration leading to a 100-fold increase in Raman intensity at the D peak of GQDs compared to graphite. This indicates the potential feasibility of using GQDs for SERS applications compared to graphite.
